What you enter into a calculator

Every calculator on this site runs in your web browser. Dates, amounts, measurements and other values you enter are not sent to our server, and we cannot see them. Closing or refreshing the page clears them.

Settings saved on your device

To save you choosing again on your next visit, we store a few settings in your browser's local storage, such as your preferred units (metric or imperial). These settings stay on your device, are never sent to us, and can be removed by clearing your browser's site data.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. This is used to keep the site secure and working, and is kept for a limited time under the host's own retention rules.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads, which is how we keep the site free. Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. When ads appear on this site:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • Other third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site, and may use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to do so.

Even if you turn off personalized ads, Google may still use cookies for non-personalized ads, for example to limit how often you see the same ad and to detect fraud. How to opt out of personalized ads

Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland

If you visit from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before any cookies are used for personalized ads. This consent message is provided through a Google-certified consent management platform, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy settings link that appears with the message.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including the UK, the EU, Canada and several US states such as California, you may have the right to ask what personal information is held about you, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its use for targeted advertising. We do not keep visitor profiles ourselves; advertising data is held by Google and its partners, and the opt-out tools above are the quickest way to control it. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
