About these money calculators
Quick answers for everyday spending: the tip and each person’s share of a bill, the real price after a discount (including two discounts stacked together), and the sales tax on a purchase in any US state.
Amounts are worked out in whole cents, the way a register does. Sales tax uses the state rates and average local rates published by the Tax Foundation, with the date they were last checked shown on the page.
